Sikkim - Darjeeling 7-Day Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok

Upon your arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, a local representative will meet you and assist you in boarding your vehicle to Gangtok. The drive to Gangtok (5412 Ft/ 1650 Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs) offers scenic views. Check-in at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2: Exploring Tsomgo Lake

After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, a mesmerizing natural wonder with an average depth of 50ft. Admire the stunning views of the lake and its surroundings. Proceed to BABA MANDIR, another significant site, before returning to Gangtok. You have the option to visit Nathula Pass (Indo-China border) at an additional cost, subject to permit availability and closures. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3: Gangtok to Pelling

Post breakfast, travel to Pelling (6,300 ft.) via the scenic route. En route, visit Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse, and Siddheshwar Dham in Namchi. Upon reaching Pelling, check-in at your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 4: Pelling Sightseeing

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Pelling. In the first half, explore Darap village, Rimbi Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake, and Khangchendzongha Waterfalls. In the afternoon, visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, and the New Helipad Ground. Overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 5: Pelling to Darjeeling

Day 6: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Start your day early with a visit to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to witness the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak, weather permitting. En route back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, explore Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Enjoy the Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (ticket not included) for panoramic views of the Tea Estate. Also, visit Tenzing & Gombu Rock and the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 7: Departure

Following breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey or return home.
